Last night Discontinued Trim Productions presented the first of two shows benefiting Cat City at PAWS, Prowling For PAWS at the Re Bar. What a huge success it was! A stellar cast led by one of my favorite hosts, Maggie! The fantastic line up included:
Minetta Lane & Violet Tendencies
Moorea Malatt, The Naked Folksinger
Renten w/Gale Force
There were some really cool raffle prizes and lots of peeps I know came out to see the show. Eleanor from PAWS was there to represent and more importantly Ruckus was there with her. I’ll post what photos I have and add more later. If you didn’t make last night and still want to see the show, you should head down tonight for the redux!
Re-bar, 1114 Howell Street, Seattle WA
One of the raffle prizes was a poster by Matt The Photographer
Then, you can head over to the Pink Door for Burlesque Behind The Pink Door, hosted by Kaleb Hagan-Kerr. I won’t be performing at Prowling tonight but will be at the Pink Door. Hope to see you out tonight!
August in Hottie Land
DRAW will be hosting a booth at Rebecca Corey’s event, Saving Lives & Laughter on AUGUST 14TH at the RENTON IKEA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. She will be taping a one hour special along side Tails Of Joy animal rescue founder and comedy great Elayne Boosler and local comic Alycia Wood. This is a very special event because there will be a dog adoption outside of the theater from 4p-7p before the show. Please come save lives and laugh. It’s a WIN WIN!! Tickets are $20.00 (cash) at the door. To purchase tickets in advance, please go to :
If you make it down, stop by the DRAW booth and say hi! Pokey will be there as well as several other DRAW foster dogs being super cute and working the crowd.
DRAW will be hosting a booth at Pit Bulls On Parade, 8/21/10 from 10-3 at Reber Ranch in Kent. This was a fantastic event last year with a huge turn out and many Pit Bulls received their GCG’s! The vendors were top notch and there were simply too many cute, well behaved dogs to count. I’ve been looking forward to this event all year. Pokey will also be making an appearance at this event and maybe we can find her forever home this summer!

There’s been some recent drama regarding a local Washington dog rescue organization. The founder of Animals First Foundation (AFF), Carina Borja, has pled guilty to nine counts of first degree theft to the tune of $530,000 and is awaiting sentencing. Unfortunately my rescue partner and co-founder of Dog Rescue Around Washington (DRAW) shares the name Carina.
I’d like to publicly state that these are two entirely different people.
She is not the Carina, founder of AFF (Animals First Foundation) nor does my rescue, DRAW (Dog Rescue Around Washington) have any connection or affiliation with Carina of AFF. The only thing they share in common is a first name. Until further notice, Carina is no longer using her legal first name, which IS Carina, and is going by only her alias, which is Violet. She is connected ONLY with the following email addresses:
Please make a note that they are not the same person. There is no connection, correlation, affiliation or relationship professional or otherwise. At this point I have no idea what is going to happen to the dogs currently in this rescue organization. I wish only the best for the dogs and they will weigh heavily on my mind until this mess is over. Please feel free to contact me or Violet with any questions or concerns you might have.
Been seeing all the hype about mineral makeup and have no idea where to start? Have you wanted to order from indie makeup companies online but want to see swatches or reviews of products first? Are you concerned about ingredient and FDA compliance due to sensitivities or allergies? Beauty Marked might be your answer.
Beauty Marked is a fun forum filled with knowledgeable members. We’ve got information on mineral makeup, skin care, etsy sellers, etailers and everything in between! Stop on by and stay awhile, we’d love to see you there.
As far as I’m concerned, Collarmania are simply the best collars ever. You can purchase ready to wear collars or have collars custom made to your order. The hardest part is choosing from all the fun options. Big dogs, little dogs, dogs that are hard on collars…..there are options for every need out there. The coupon code is Mother25.
