Conjure Oils Mlle. Victoria’s Lupertine Burlesque Cabaret Reviews And Contest

I had a chance to try several of Conjure Oils Lupercalia collection, Mlle. Victoria’s Lupertine Burlesque Cabaret and loved each and every one.   Valentine’s Day always seems to bring out collections of LE oils loaded with florals and rose scents, none of which work on me.   Well, not Conjure Oils!  I’ll be sharing the reviews of the oils that I was lucky enough to try as well as giving two bottles of Limited Edition oils to two lucky contest winners.   The contest prizes are a brand new (and no longer available) bottle of The Naughty List as well as a brand new bottle of the LE Leap Year scent, Bissextile Burious?

Contest Rules:

To enter the contest simply leave me a comment about why (or why not) you love Valentine’s Day.    In order to be eligible to win you must leave me your email address.  Failure to do so will get you disqualified and you will NOT have a chance to smell lovely for free.  Winners will be announced here and will also be notified via email.   You will have 48 hours to claim your prize before I choose another lucky winner.  The contest will end 4/4/12 and the winners will be chosen within 24 hours.

The Reviews:

You can find all of these oils available here until March 31st or until supplies are exhausted so don’t dally!  http://www.conjureoils.com/conjure%20ltd.htm

Mlle. Whiard
Wild strawberry, whipped cream, kiwi fruit, raw sugar and a pinch of clove.

In bottle:  Fruity burnt sugar.

Wet on skin:  I can smell the strawberry, cream and a bit of burnt sugar.

Dry on skin:   It’s a gorgeous fruity, sugary strawberry scent.  I can smell just a hint of the clove but none of the kiwi.

Verdict:  So glad I bought a bottle of this!  Normally strawberry scents don’t work at all for me but this is the perfect blend of sugar and fruit.

Mlle C. de Villers: Pink grapefruit, red musk, French vanilla ice cream with a brandy soaked Moreno cherry on top.

In bottle:  Ice cream with brandy.

Wet on skin:   Ummmm…..I can smell the French vanilla ice cream and definitely the Moreno cherry!

Dry on skin:  It smells of candied cherry, red musk and super vanilla ice cream.  The cream note is not cloying or gross at all and the red musk just hovers on the outside.

Verdict:  I bought a bottle of this unsniffed and boy am I glad I did!  It’s amazing and hot and sexy and sure to be a go to for me.

Ravished:  Sweltering Tahitian vanilla heat, a mahogany headboard, silken crimson sheets pulled tight and notes of golden honey ooze over mouth-watering coconut mounds.

In bottle:  Citrus honey!

Wet on skin:  Yum, this is citrusy and sweet, with a bit of peach or apricot?

Dry on skin:  Oh man, this is amazingly lovely.  I can smell the vanilla, coconut and golden honey with just  touch of the wood.

Verdict: Drop.  Dead. Sexy.  Need moar!   If fruit can be sweltering and sexy than this is it.

  1. Loverly review! Vajra, the CO proprietor, is a dear friend of mine, and it’s always a treat to discover other folks share my enthusiasm for her creations. I love your blog too! Well done!

  2. Hello via the bpal forum! I love your blog and your reviews! ❤ As for the contest, well, I have to say my favorite thing about valentines day is all of the cute pink things. Hah! (My email address is gniwle (at) gmail .com! Not sure how to include that in a comment on wordpress, but I'm sure there's a way I'm missing!) ❤ I'll be sure to check in on your blog more often than I do (I'm always stopping by from the other perfumes you love topic!)

    1. Hi there! Thanks so much, I’m glad you’ve found some stuff useful. Pull up a chair and take a load off. 🙂

  3. Mlle C. de Villers sounds lovely. 🙂

So Valentine’s Day… I’m a chocoholic so that’s the main reason I love Valentine’s Day. lol Even though I haven’t had a Valentine yet, I still like to give little gifts to my friends and family. And I love red, pink, & white everything on that day, even though I normally don’t gravitate towards anything pink for the other 364 days in the year.

My e-mail is marivi528 at gmail dot com. 😀 lol

    1. I’m glad I’m not a chocoholic but I have to admit to a weakness when it comes to conversation hearts. I even love perfume that smells like them!

  4. I was never a big fan of Valentine’s Day, but my then-boyfriend-now-husband first asked if he could call me his girlfriend that day, and later that night, first told me he loved me. So despite the cheese (nom, cheese) Valentine’s Day has a special little place in my heart, as he’s still my Valentine. 🙂 Email is agameofthree [at] gmail [dot] com.

  5. Hi- found your blog via bpal.org, and I love your reviews (although they are dangerous for my wallet). My favorite thing about Valentines Day is the chocolate!! My email address is hbcarter2@ gmail.com. I will be checking in here often and eagerly awaiting your next reviews.

    1. My wallet has been running away and skittering under the coffee table after all the amazing Valentine’s Day updates this year!

  6. Hey, Hottie! DANGIT!!! You’re sending my wallet into hysterics. };-)} All these cool eyeshadow reviews, and now this. Ravished has been calling to me and I’ve been covering my ears and yelling, “Nah, nah, nah, I can’t heeeeearrr yooouuu!!!” Heh.

As for V-Day, I love it AND hate it. I LOVE chocolate, and I love celebrating my loved ones–parents, kids, pets, spouse, friends…so I love Valentine’s day. Oh and St. Valentine supposedly flauted Claudius’s orders and performed marriages for soldiers. Cool. I HATE it because our culture has made it so that if you *don’t* have a sweetie or a prospect to celebrate with, you’re just so very outre. Uncool. So…there it is. I *am* a Libra…!
