Nocturne Alchemy Reviews (& day 71!)

I received my most recent order and wanted to post up some reviews for those of you who might be on the fence about ordering!

BASTET’S GARDEN: Apricot Kobalt Special Edition-African Apricot, Apricot Cream, Vanilla Cream, Nokturne:Kobalt. A delicious way to spend an afternoon. Purrrrrrrrrr.

In bottle: Spicy musky fruit.
Wet on skin: Spicy apricot cream.
Dry on skin: This softens into a really sexy and spicy blend predominately Sapphire but the green peppercorn and and amber and patchouli round out the apricot perfection!
Verdict: Buy it now! Something about the apricot and peppercorn make this blend special.

BASTET’S GARDEN: Raspberry Kobalt Special Edition-Aromatic Egyptian Raspberry, rich Egyptian Vanilla (Nokturne:Kobalt). Simplicity.

In bottle: Raspberry and chocolate.
Wet on skin: Raspberry and cardamom with just a bit of kobalt peeking out.
Dry on skin: The kobalt comes to the front and I can definitely smell the cardamom, amber and chocolate all blending in.
Verdict: This is so pretty, I love it!

Hathor’s Raspberry Cheesecake Vanille LE-For the dessert of Spring, the Goddess Hathor has blended an ethereal cheesecake into a puree of raspberries and RA has woven a special Vanilla blend of Crystal Vanilla Musk and Crystalline into the perfume. Spun Raspberry Sugar resides within.

In bottle: Raspberry sugar!
Wet on skin: It smells like the raspberry topping you might get on an expensive cheesecake. I can start to smell a bit of pastry now.
Dry on skin: Yummy, sweet, raspberry cheesecake with pastry.
Verdict: It does rather make me want to eat my arm.

Eternal Luxor Dark LE-Black Tahitian Vanilla, Incense, Black Coconut, N:Tabasheer Black Musk, Black Amber, Egyptian Allspice Incense and Black Galbanum Honey.

In bottle: Sweet and a bit coconutty?
Wet on skin: Very sweet with maybe a bit on tobacco? Maybe that’s the Tabasheer and honey playing together.
Dry on skin: As it dries down I can definitely smell the black coconut and the musk blending together perfectly with the vanilla. Scrumptious!
Verdict: Luxor has been one of my favorites no matter which version it is!

Supreme Deity Duality:  Egypterrian-Egyptian and Hungarian Spice, Black Rose Resin, Raspberry from Bastet’s Garden with a base of Sapphire and Crystal Nokturnes. Slowly poured into each other for seven days to create the seven skies of Egypterra. Created with ‘connection’ in mind.

In bottle: Sweet and fruity.
Wet on skin: I can smell the raspberry and crystal for sure.
Dry on skin: This is such a lovely scent. I can definitely pick up the Hungarian spice and black rose resin now. They blend beautifully with the raspberry and crystal! At this point I can’t pick out any Sapphire but perhaps with a big of aging….. ***Edited to add that I think I can pick up a hint of the Sapphire now and I suspect it will get stronger with a bit of age.
Verdict: Srumdiddlyuptious! You should buy it now! Even the bottle is amazing. It’s a beautiful green bottle with a cobalt colored lid. Normally the first thing I do is remove the reducer caps and replace them with want caps but I’m going to keep this one as is because it’s so striking.

Nokturne: Moonstone-The true Husk, black and white Fleck, essence and whole of African White Vanilla with a kiss of Crystalline.

In bottle: Sweet vanilla.
Wet on skin: Soft, pretty and wonderful vanilla. It’s intoxicating.
Dry on skin: Boy this is super comforting and beautiful. I can’t wait to start layering this with everything and see what happens!
Verdict: So, so happy that I scored a bottle of this!

Gothic-Black clove, sweet smoking tobacco, patchouli incense, frankincense and myrrh resinoid, vanilla skin musk.

In vial: Soft and maybe a bit floral or powdery?
Wet on skin: Slight tobacco and some sweet clove.
Dry on skin: The clove has definitely come out as well as the smoking tobacco. I think I can also smell the soft patchouli and frankincense but I’m not sure what frankincense normally smells like. The vanilla skin musk slides in at the very last minute and it’s beautiful!
Verdict: I got a freebie of this and boy am I glad I did! I can’t wait to see how it ages!
