These were swatched over Tick Tock’s base in Milky Way and photographed under a bright light with no flash.
First up are Child Who Swallowed A Star, Duck Hat, Good Doggy and I Never Liked Turnips. I Never Liked Turnips is my favorite out of this bunch.
Then we have Pepping Bug, Secret Garden, She Likes My Spark and Star Lake. She Likes My Spark is so, so amazing! Scroll down for an out of focus photo that really shows it’s sparkles.
Then we have Tackiest Thing Here, Elaking On Air, Wartime and Wizard’s Apprentice. I really love Tackiest Thing Here…it’s got some really gorgeous subtle red flash that’s hard to see but just beautiful.
Today I bring to you a face of the day using some new shadows from Ten Three Labs. I’ve used Antoinette, Pearl and Seondeok. They were very easy to work with and I can’t wait to try some of the other colors.
Face-Cargo foundation in F-20 over Nyx primer. Finished with a custom powder.
Cheeks-Geek Chic blush in Strawberry Shaortcake.
Lips-Bonne Bell liner in Boysenberry with Ten Three Labs Smudge Stick in All Vamp Everything.
Eyes-Darling Girl base and Glitter Glue under Ten Three Labs Antoinette on lids, Pearl in Crease and blended out with a bit under lower lashes as well, Seondeok on brow bone to blend out Pearl. Just a bit of Hapshepsut under middle of lower lashes. Seondeok on inner corner to brighten. No liner, one coat of mascara. Brazen’s Joan brow powder on brows.
First we have Howl O’Ween, Mouth, That Goat Got Devil Eyes and Shelley’s Big Eye. The stand out for me in this set is Mouth.
Next up is Antoinette, Bathory, Coretta and Cruz. I loved Bathory….it’s gorgeous!
This third group is Dandridge, Hatshepsut, Hiawatha and Joyce. Hatshepsut is gorgeous and would a great color to wear with either warm or cool colors.
This last group is Murasaki, Pearl, Seondeok and Sotomayor. Pearl is absolutely amazing!
This next photo is of All Vamp Everything, swiped ones, twice and three times. It’s got great slip and is very moisturizing and quite natural and easy to wear with a simple face on the go.
Artificial Angels–A somewhat cloyingly sweet scent. Maybe TOO sweet…Nothing good can come of such sweetness. Apple, black cherry, sugar cane, olive.
In bottle: Sweet with cherry.
Wet on skin: Cherry, cherry and more cherry with a bit of apple and sweetness.
Dry on skin: The apples comes out more with the olive which should be weird but gives it a good non-sweet note to ground it. The sugar cane comes out at the very end and just wafts gently around in the background.
Verdict: I love this! It’s sweet but the olive keeps it from being too cloying or little girl smelling.
Fair Season-It’s fall! Fall’s great. And fall means fairs all around America. Funnel cakes and giant turkey legs and rides with people getting sick…You know, fun! Cola, beer, candy corn, cotton candy, caramel, buttered popcorn, firewood, pumpkin, brown sugar, amber.
In bottle: Sweet amber.
Wet on skin: Cola and amber are right up front with the firewood and brown sugar hovering in the back ground.
Dry on skin: This has dried down to a beautiful blend. The cola and caramel are blending gorgeously with the rest of the notes. The firewood grounds the scent and the brown sugar really warms it up.
Well, I’ve got a lovely swatch post for you today. Up for your viewing pleasure is Darling Girl’s Halloween collection, Who Ya Gonna Call. As usual Susan took customers suggestions for names in this collection and I’m happy to say that one of my suggestions made it into a color this year, The Flowers Are Still Standing. These are swatched over Tick Tock’s Infinity base in Milky Way and photographed with no flash either under a bright light or in natural light.
First up is Don’t Cross The Streams, Ghost Job, He Slimed Me, Key Master and Mass Hysteria. The stand out for me is Key Master.
And next is Spiritual Turbulence, That’s A Big Twinkie, The Flowers Are Still Standing, There Is No Dana and The Tragic Death Of Mr. Stay Puft. That’s A Big Twinkie is my favorite. This is a versatile color that you could wear every day.
And the two extras are Hellofall and Jaycee-Boo Who. These were freebies with my order.
Hotties! Today I bring to you a lovely collection of swatches from the Virus Insanity collection inspired by True Blood. Can I just tell you…..I am *in love* with this collection.
These were swatched over Detrivore primer and photographed with no flash under a bright light.
First we have Alcide, Vampire Bill (well, technically it’s just BILL but come on…..I just can’t NOT say VAMPIRE BILL) and Eric. These are all gorgeous but my favorite is Alcide. Although I don’t mind have Eric on my face, either. *wink, nudge*
The next set is Fangtasia, Lafayette and Sookie. Fangtasia…..FANGTASIA!! Yes, I screamed it. It’s because it’s my newest obsession and my favorite shadow hands down right now. It’s a gorgeous and wearable red and red eyeshadow can be tricky. If it’s not done right then you just look like you have cholera. Fangtasia is a great, warm red with golden flash and red glitter.
I totally forgot to include Merlotte’s in the original swatching so here it is all by itself:
Combinations that I’m looking forward to trying are Fangtasia/Vampire Bill (weird but it might just look amazeballs!), Sookie/Eric and Lafayette/Eric.
I was lucky enough to get my Darling GIrl package this week so I put together a swatch post for you. The swatches aren’t from any one collection so I’ve put them in alphabetical order just for shits and giggles.
These were all swatched over Detrivore primer and photographed inside under a bright light with no flash.
First up are Beach Blanket Bingo, Black Hole Sun, Borrowed Underpants and Bubbles. I had a hard time with Beach Blanket Bingo as it’s a matte and didn’t want to apply evenly over the primer. My favorite of this bunch is Black Hole Sun.
Now we’ve got Dirty Limerick, Emagherd!, Fireworks and Heatwave. How excited am I to try Fireworks and Dirty Limerick together? Very excited.
Now we have Paper Planes, Red Butler and Sakura Season (free GWP). Paper Planes and Red Butler were instant favorites for me. Red Butler is a gorgeous brow bone highlighter.
And last we have Sexxy Girlfriend!, Tank Taupe, and Cheeks Like Roses blush. Tank Taupe was hard to work with over the primer as it’s a matte. Cheeks Like Roses is my new instant favorite blush!
So those are the swatches! Look for some FOTD posts coming up soon featuring these colors!
With beneficial ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter and aloe butter your lips will never know what hit them. I keep these every where (and I *do* mean every where), in my desk drawer, in my purse, on my night stand next to my bed…..well you get the idea. Is has the right amount of slip without being too greasy and it’s not too sweet and doesn’t have too much fragrance. In other words, perfect. Just like Leeloo in The Fifth Element.
Full ingredients: Coconut oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Aloe Butter, Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Comfrey Extract.
Finally! I finally have my grubby little hands on my Darling Girl, “Oh The Horror” LE collection. I had to break into them, gaze stupidly at them all and swatch right away! These are all inspired by classic horror and Susan took customer suggestions for names and colors. I suggested Ripley’s Cat and Death By Unicorn. These were all swatched over primer and photographed in direct sunlight.
First up with have Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman, Bad Ash, Bathed In Blood, Camp Blood and Creature From the Black Lagoon. The standout for me was Bad Ash!
Next is Death By Unicorn, Frankenstein, Go Go Godzilla, Heads Will Roll and Here’s Johnny! I can’t wait to wear Death By Unicorn and Frankenstein together!
Up next is I Am Pain, King Kong, Lonely Assassins, Monster Within and Pumpkinhead. I love, love, love Most of these. I’m a sucker for orange so Pumpkinhead will get a lot of wear. I liked the out of focus photos because it showed all the sparkle.
And now there’s Ripley’s Cat, Seven Days Later, Sleep Kills, The Count, The Invisible Man and The Mummy. Ripley’s Cat was one of the names that I suggested so of course I love it!
I found a lonely jar that I forgot and also wanted to swatch the GWP. So here we have The Boogeyman and Inamorata.
Hotties! I did it, I finally purchased a couple of Lime Crime items to test and swatch out for you. Today, I am bringing you swatches of the Alchemy Palette. These were swatched over primer and photographed outside in direct sunlight and also in the shade. Enjoy!
A while ago I got a chance to try some of the new Brazen Liquid Lipsticks. I love them! These were all applied with a lip brush, over bare lips and photographed inside under a bright light with no flash.
