All swatches done over Detrivore primer and photographed under a bright light with no flash. First up we’ve got Bahia Solano, Bora Bora, Hanalei Bay, End Game and Hysteria. My favorite is Hysteria.
Then we’ve got Pina Colada, Mimosa, Jungle Juice, Lazy Days and Chaos. I’m loving Pina Colada and Jungle Juice. Pina Colada is just about the most perfect highlight color ever.
Meow seems to really be knocking it out of the park with their soft and shimmery colors this summer. Some of the shifts are really quite remarkable and if you would like to check them out, go here:
I’m so sorry I’ve been absent from my blog. We’re currently remodeling (replacing all the floors, the fireplace and painting) and I’ve been focusing on that. Well, I plan to make it up to you! I’m bringing you a FOTD today, with swatches and reviews from Beauty From The Earth as well as OCC Lip Tars coming up this weekend. Oooooh! Ahhhhhhhh.
Face: Holika Peachy Girl BB cream over Smashbox oil free primer with MAC NW15 concealer set with Evil Shades matte powder.
Cheeks: Meows Frozen Watermelon (I’m loving this blush right now!)
Lips: Brazen Balm Stick in Risque

Prowl used on inner corner as well as to blend out Strike and up to brow bone. MAC liquid liner in Defiantly Feline on upper lid and winged out a bit with Physician Formula liner in taupe on water line of lower lid. One coat of black mascara. Brazen brow powder in Raquel.
A couple of weeks ago I entered an eye shadow naming contest with Meow Cosmetics. The contest was to name a collection based on the joys of summer. My entries were Kiddie Pool and Heat Lightning and Heat Lightning won! The prize was a full sized shadow from the collection and I picked my color because it’s a gorgeous gold/orange described as “bright hot tangerine with golden iridescence”. I love it!
Face: Holika BB Cream in Baby Bloom, MAC concealer in NC15, Evil Shades matte powder and Brazen’s Fierce & Flawless as a finishing powder.
Cheeks: Brazen’s Tantalize

Lips: Nude liner with MAC Dazzleglass over the top.
Eyes: MAC paint in untitled then Tick: Tock tester Infinity base. All these were Tick: Tock pigments: Half Past Crazy applied all over lid and up into crease as well as outer portion of lower lid. Atomic Clock used to blend that out and also applied to middle of lower lid. High Noon applied under brow and a little Digital applied to outer corner for some smokiness. Black pencil liner applied and smudged on upper lid and also applied to water line on lower lid for a bit of smudge. One coat black mascara.
I’m still trying out my Brazen pigments and today I used two new ones. I have pretty much only tried the neutrals from Brazen but I’m really digging them right now. I have some brighter colors on order but for now I’m enjoying a super neutral smokey eye type look.
I’m pretty happy with how the Brazen shadows apply….more like a pressed shadow than others I’ve tried. They are blendable which I like and the ones I’ve tried haven’t been glitter bombs. I’ll admit that burlesque has ruined me for glitter….I just don’t love it the way I used to. They are deep and rich colors that last all day on me.
My skin is still shredded from my road trip adventures, my eyebrows are out of control and my allergies are acting up. I didn’t really feel like doing a FOTD today but I did pledge 90 days of beauty so here it is! Or at least the closest I can come right now.
Face: Holika Baby Bloom BB Cream. Brazen Fierce & Flawless used as finishing powder.
Cheeks: Meow blush in Snarky
Lips: Shiro Intertube in Three Wolf Moon
Eyes: Tick: Tock Infinity eye shadow base in Milky Way. Brazen Tree Hugger applied to outer half of eyelid and up into crease. Brazen Vague applied to inner half of lid and Brazen Forever applied up to brow and used to blend out the other colors. Brazen Buzzed applied wet as liner for upper lid. Meow Sexpot used as a highlighter under brow. One coat black mascara.
I wanted to match my Captain shirt today so I chose some cool toned eye shadows. I picked some of my new Tick: Tock pigments to play with and am pretty happy with the results.
Face: Holika Holika Baby Bloom BB cream, MAC concealer in NC15, custom finishing powder.
Cheeks: Meow blush in Forest Flame.
Eyes: Tick: Tock Infinity primer in Milky Way, then Darkest Before The Dawn in crease, Clepsydra on center of upper and lower lid, Evening Dress applied to inner portion of upper lid. I used First Birthday to blend out the Darkest Before The Dawn and also applied it to inner corner of eye. Black eye pencil applied to lower water line and smudged onto upper lid.
Lips: MAC In Anticipation liner with Brazen Gummie Lip Glaze in Cherry.
My favorite makeup group had a new challenge this week…..Disney inspiration! My two favorite colors are pink and orange so I chose as my inspiration the Cheshire Cat. He’s cheerfully unhelpful and I just love him. Now I know that traditionally the Cheshire Cat is purple and pink but I really like the purplish pink and orange color scheme so I ran with it.
Face: MAC foundation and concealer in NC15 with custom finishing powder.
Cheeks: Aromaleigh in Sinister Rouge. (whiskers were added with liquid black liner and Sawrovski crystals)
Lips: MAC liner in Magenta and MAC lipstick in Impassioned. Packed MAC glitter on top in Neon 60’s.
Eyes: MAC paint in Untitled, with Lucky 107 Concrete primer. For brows I mixed AL’s Sinister Rouge and Meows Firework.
