I have experimenting with a new shadow technique taught by Blix of http://themoonmaiden-blix.blogspot.com/
Eyes: MAC paint in Untitled on lid with Fyrinnae’s Pixie Eopxy over. Stardust Goddess Green blended in outer V and up above crease a bit. Meow’s Four Horsemen in Pestilence on outer lid and blended just a bit into crease and also outer of the lower lash line. Meow’s X: Mothman blended onto rest of lid and onto the middle of the lower lash line. Silk Naturals Cutie Pie shadow blended onto upper eye into brow. Silk Naturals Sprite applied just under brow and to inner corners of eyes. No liner, one coat of Super Thick Lash mascara in black.
I had a chance to play around with a couple of the new Meow colors. Normally I don’t like blue eye shadow on me (unless it’s for a costume look) but I really like Retail Therapy! It’s a beautiful teal color.
Face: Meow primer, Meow under eye concealer, Silk Naturals foundation with Meow finishing powder over everything.
Cheeks: LaurEss blush in True Love
Lips: Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Visual Kei
Eyes: Detrivore primer with Pixie Epoxy. Meow Simple Pleasures Comfort Food over entire lid, with Meow Guilty Pleasure Retail Therapy in outer corners and slightly blended into crease. Meow Simple Pleasure Making Love applied to just middle of lid with Stardust Pulse applied under brow. One coat Super Thick Lash black mascara. No brow color or liner.

I really should be cleaning right now but felt a bit of the Little Miss Posty Pants syndrome coming on.
On the good-bye front, Jenna of Stardust Cosmetics has decided not to return to the mineral makeup world for the foreseeable future. This makes me sad because I loved her makeup and I felt confident that Jenna was looking out for her clients best interests, regarding ingredients and such. Kristen of Aromaleigh has decided to stop making her foundations and lippies which makes me sad because they are so many people’s holy grail products and it’s daunting to start the task of finding a new one. Kind of like losing a favorite hair dresser. It’s scary finding a new one!
I wish both of these women the best life has to offer and I selfishly hope both of them continue to craft cosmetics because they are both extraordinary at it.
On the new beginnings front, I’ve got a new photo to share! A bit of history first though. All my wedding photos suck because Mr. McNaughty passed a kidney stone on our wedding day. That’s right, a freaking kidney stone. We spent almost six hours at the emergency room and he refused to let me cancel the wedding. The doctor loaded him up with Dilauded and he toughed it out. In fact, the very moment he said, “I do”, he passed the stone. True story.
The reason he wouldn’t let me cancel the ceremony was because the date we picked was very special. We chose the date because it was his mom’s parents 55th wedding anniversary and they were there to attend the wedding. Any other day just wouldn’t have been the same and we were so very fortunate to have our family there to celebrate with us. Looking back, the date was more important than we ever could have known because both Grandma and Grandpa were gone the next year. We get to celebrate their lives each time we celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Anyhoo, needless to say all the wedding photos sucked donkey balls. Poor Mr.McNaughty was in terrible pain and we had to position his brother, who was his best man behind him so he could catch him in case he fell down. He made it through the ceremony but the photos are actually really funny to look at now! One of my bestest friends, Matt The Photographer took a photo of us at his house warming and I love it. I wish our wedding photos had been this beautiful!
I finally decided what I want to do for my 40th Birthday…..it’s going to be a Birthday/Christmas Roller Disco Party Of Doom! I ordered this hat from Topsy Turvy Designs:
I have several hats from Topsy Turvy and I love them all. I cannot recommend these ladies highly enough!
I discovered some equally beautiful and exciting things over at the Stardust Cosmetics blog today. Sneaky peaky pics of the new mini collection. They look beautiful and I can’t wait to get them in my grubby little hands. These photos are posted with permission.

Just as enamored with them as I am? Then stalk the shop until they reopen:
I had a show last night so I slapped on some drag. I decided to work exclusively with my new Stardust Cosmetics products to see how it would work for stage. I loved it and everything looked good all the way through to the end of the night. I have another order on the way and I can’t wait to play with the new colors. Stardust is definitely my new go to make up.

and my cool bracelet:
So my Stardust Cosmetics order arrived today, so pretty! I ordered on 5/5, got a shipping notice on 5/6 and it arrived 5/17, from Canada. I really like that the jars have lots of available space on the lightly colored labels. I’m a freak and like to write the name of the color on the top. It makes it’s easier for me to find what I want.
Look at all the sparklies:
I got Hottie and Frolic full size blushes and full size pigments of Fireball and High Brow, and I received a full size of Genie’s Lamp for free! I also got a full size of Phoenix Flames….my new favorite lippie. I received a sample of the Photo Finishing powder for free as well.
I got samples of the Simple Pleasures sample collection. This collection included blush in Bliss, In Love and Morning Picnic. I got Glitter Powder in Denim & Diamonds, Shimmer & Shine and Princess & Petals. Pigments in Crystal Nude, Sun & Clouds, Juicy Flower, Ponytail, Fresh Cut, Sparkle Fiend, Goddess Green, Morning Grass, Cupcake and Perfect Sky.
I did a super quick face with Fireball, Genie’s Lamp on eyes, Hottie on cheeks (snicker!) and Phoenix Flames on lips. Finished with Photo Finishing powder.
Yay, make up!
Oh, and I got all of that for $38.96! I’ll try the rest of the colors this week. The blush is a new favorite…it applied nice and evenly, which isn’t always the case for non pressed blush. Loose powder blush can be hard to work with, especially if it’s a bright color.
